Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
With research showing that the more books in the home, the better the educational outcomes for children, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library provides monthly books home-delivered for children from birth to age five. Since 1996, more than 1.22 million books have been distributed to over 1.4 million children across the world.
In South Australia over 45,000 books have been home delivered since 2014 to over 1200 children across 12 communities
In addition to The Imagination Library, United Way South Australia also provide FREE reading and craft sessions each week at Possum’s Playgroup. The sessions are open to the community for families with children under 6 years of age. There is reading, storytelling, craft, music and play. Sessions are every Wednesday Thursday and Friday.
