Ms Emma Brooke – Chief Executive Officer
Emma Brooke joined the board of United Way South Australia June 2014, and is an avid supporter of Not-For-Profit Organisations. Emma was appointed as CEO in 2018. Since taking on the role Emma has lead her team to great achievements. Including doubling the number of children registered for The Imagination Library early literacy program and a finalist for the South Australian Community Achievement Awards 2019.
Through Emma’s retail, and banking/finance management career before children, Emma worked as a Bank Manager with ANZ through different regions on The Gold Coast and Sydney. A large amount of this time spent leading people and their careers, as well as building a strategy for customers that made sense to their financial goals. Being no stranger to diversity, Emma spent several years at ANZ trying to make a difference around specific issues surrounding diversity, with particular focus on gender, cultural and age based diversity. Some of her work included a duration of time in arguably one of the most culturally diverse areas of Sydney, Lakemba.
Emma, as a mother of 2 boys, is passionate about helping others and making a difference in the community and providing children with a brighter future through early literacy.
