Kerry is community focused having begun her volunteering in the community at 12 years old. She has a positive energy which she has brought to United Way and driven the success of the United We Read pilots and overseen the launch of the Read Aloud, Every Child Every Day initiative.
As a parent of 3 children Kerry is passionate about the value of reading to children and the subsequent platform that this will provide to a child’s education and therefore support that child to reach for their individual potential. Kerry’s work history has seen her work as a change leader and driver of successful and profitable business outcomes and community support programs. Additionally, Kerry has broad experience in managing staff, volunteers and program delivery for children.

As Volunteer Manager Terrie is committed to supporting the valuable input to our organisation by volunteers. She has worked in the community sector for many years has experience and skills in volunteer coordination, event management, office administration and working with the community.
Terrie is also the Manager of United Way Eyes Down Bingo which is held 2 evenings every week in the northern region of Adelaide and supports our local community programs.
Terrie returned to United Way SA in March 2015 having worked with the Elizabeth & District Foundation from August 1987 until February 1999. During this time the Elizabeth & District Foundation affiliated with United Way Australia and underwent its name change to then United Way (North). Before returning to United Way SA as Volunteer Coordinator & Office Administration Officer, Terrie worked within the Local Government sector.
